The Los Angeles Kings entered Saturday night looking to continue their win streak as they headed to Calgary to play the Flames. It was a quick turnaround for the Kings as they just had a big 2-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets the night before.

It seemed like the Kings were ready to continue that win streak with a dominant first period and had a 1-0 lead by the end of the period. Unfortunately, that would be the end of the scoring for Los Angeles as Calgary would tie it in the second before scoring on a power play in the third for the deciding goal.

These are three takeaways from the Kings' loss on Saturday night.

Jacob Moverare continues to produce with extra opportunity

One of the lone bright spots from this game has to be defenseman Jacob Moverare, who had his first goal of the season. After setting a season-high in ice time on Friday night with over 19 minutes of ice time (and an assist), Moverare followed it up with another solid performance.

This undoubtedly is going to create a challenge for Jim Hiller because the pairing of Moverare with Jordan Spence has really worked well, for both players. Spence has looked his best with Moverare next to him but the Kings are going to need to open a spot for Drew Doughty upon his return.
