Anze Kopitar with a career high shooting percentage

Another player who had a fast start to the season was the Los Angeles Kings' captain Anze Kopitar. Through the first 36 games of the season, he had 39 points but hit a lull right around the time the calendar went from 2024 to 2025. He would have only seven points through 21 games, including only one goal.

The goal-scoring picked up down the stretch with eight goals in the final 24 games which helped him finish with more than 20 goals for the third consecutive season. In the end, it was surprising that Kopitar did break that mark because he wasn't shooting nearly as much and this was the first time he had less than 200 shots in a season where he played 50 or more games.

However, what helped him was when he did shoot he was scoring at a career rate and for the first time in his career had a shooting percentage above 20% at 21.4%.
