Brandt Clarke lead Kings' defensemen in points
It certainly would be fair to say that Brandt Clarke's first full season in the NHL was up and down. He got off to a fast start and that was big for the Kings as they would be without Drew Doughty for the first part of the season due to a preseason injury.
He would have 11 points in the first 11 games while averaging over 18 minutes of ice time. As the season went on, he saw his role change and with it his ice time dropped and at times was even a healthy scratch.
However, Clarke bounced back in a big way and finished the season strong and had five points in the final 14 games, and saw his ice time pick up with 17 minutes or more in five of the final six games. The way he finished the season helped him finish first among all the defensemen on the roster in terms of points with 33, which was three ahead of Vladislav Gavrikov.
