Bowen Byram

With any of the restricted free agents, teams are likely trying to explore trade opportunities ahead of free agency. The reason is that they have more of a say in terms of what they get back in return versus the draft pick compensation if a restricted free agent signs an offer sheet.

That seems to be the case for Bowen Byram, who is drawing interest in the trade market from multiple teams, according to ESPN's Kevin Weekes. If Byram isn't traded, the Los Angeles Kings should absolutely be interested in him, especially if they trade Spence.

This past season was the first full-season in Buffalo and he finished with a career-high of 38 points. He also was tied for the team lead in blocked shots with 116 and finished with a respectable save percentage when on the ice of .903.

The addition of Byram would give the Kings a long-term replacement for Drew Doughty on the left-side of the defense while also being an immediate replacement for Gavrikov if he were to leave in free agency.
