Here are three development camp prospects worth watching for the Kings this week.

Carter George, G

Among the more familiar names in attendance for the Kings at development camp this week is goalie prospect Carter George. This past year, both George and fellow Kings goalie Hampton Slukynsky were participants in development camp in the 2025 offseason.

George goes into development camp as one of the Kings' top goalie prospects. With multiple young and talented goalies competing for more attention from the Kings' coaching staff and for future opportunities in the LA system, this week gives him another chance to show why he's capable of eventually earning a role in net in the NHL.

Elton Hermansson, W

One of the biggest names set to be in attendance as a participant in the Kings' development camp this week is 2026 first-round draft pick and winger Elton Hermansson. This week will be the first time that the coaches and Kings' fans will get at least a glimpse of Hermansson since Los Angeles picked him 19th overall in the first round of the 2026 draft this past weekend.

His creativity with the puck on his stick in the offensive zone and his playmaking ability should make Hermansson one of the most entertaining players to watch in camp and the scrimmages this week.

Hermansson brings top-notch stickhandling and offensive skill amid a group of forwards that includes roughly a half-dozen draft picks from this class this past weekend for the Kings.

Hayden Stavroff, F

Dartmouth star forward Hayden Stavroff was one of the biggest additions to the development camp roster for the Kings this summer. This comes after the Washington Capitals hosted Stavroff for development camp this past offseason in 2025.

Stavroff led the NCAA in goal scoring this past season, registering 29 goals scored and ranking in the top 10 in D1 college hockey in total points. Unlike many of the other players attending development camp this week, Stavroff remains unsigned, making this a big opportunity for him to earn the attention of the Kings' organization and coaching staff.

Joining Stavroff at the Kings' development camp this week is his linemate from Dartmouth, Hank Cleaves. If Stavroff turns heads at development camp and in the scrimmages this week, he could be an interesting name to watch among the potential college free agent signings for the Kings this summer.
