Jordan Spence

The Los Angeles Kings spent almost two minutes in the Blue Jackets zone at the end of the third period after pulling Darcy Kuemper from net to try and tie the game up. They eventually would do that thanks to Quinton Byfield but the reason the Kings were able to keep pressure on the Blue Jackets was due in large part to Jordan Spence.

The Kings' defenseman had two or three big saves at the blue line to keep the puck in the zone as the Blue Jackets were trying to clear it.

After an up and down start to the season, Jordan Spence has turned a corner as of late and become a bigger part of the defense. In three of the last four games, Spence has played over 20 minutes which is a notable increase as he had only five games with over 20 minutes in the first 39 games.
