LA Kings can't let Andrei Kuzmenko leave in free agency
One of the biggest bright spots for the Los Angeles Kings in this series was the performance of Andrei Kuzmenko, who finished with three goals and three assists. The area he made the most impact was on the power play as all three goals occured with the man advantage while also adding a power play assist.
The Kings only made one move at the trade deadline and that was trading with the Flyers for Kuzmenko. After he took some time to get familiar with the system and his teammates, he was making a huge difference down the stretch and that carried over into the playoffs.
For the Kings, they now have the challenge of trying to re-sign Kuzmenko as he is set to be a free agent. However, with how he fit and the impact he was able to make in a short period of time it seems like he is a player they can't afford to let leave.
Outside of Vladislav Gavrikov, who is also set to be a free agent, the Kings don't have many key players that could leave this offseason. It should be a priority for this franchise to bring him back and make sure he is back on that top line next to Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe.
