LA Kings package Jordan Spence and Alex Turcotte for Bowen Byram
If the Sabres want NHL-ready players than a package of Jordan Spence and Alex Turcotte might be enough to bring Byram to Los Angeles. For the Sabres, they get a defensemen who can help replace the absence of Byram while adding a forward that can be a middle-six player.
Spence had another productive season for the Kings with 28 points and a +/- of +23 while averaging over two minutes of ice time per game more than the prior season. He is a player that is still early in his career at 23 years old but would be a solid addition to the Sabres defense.
Meanwhile, Alex Turcotte is a player that is coming off his first full-season in the NHL and showed some potential with nine goals and 16 assists in 68 games. He looked his best when the Kings moved him to the fourth line but in the second season, there is no reason that he couldn't take on a bigger role with the Sabres.
