Darcy Kuemper has at least two shutouts in the playoffs

For the Los Angeles Kings, they are going to need some incredible performances from key players. I believe they will get one of those from their goaltender as Darcy Kuemper puts the Kings on his back. He has been exceptional this season and has a record of 31-11-7 with a goals against average of 2.02 and a save percentage of .921, which were both second in the league.

He also finished tied for fourth in shutouts with five on the season but three of those five came against playoff teams. Of those three, two were against the Edmonton Oilers, who they are facing in the first round.

While he may not get both shutouts in the opening series, Kuemper has a good chance to have at least two games where the Kings get a shutout win in their playoff run. The biggest reason is that Kuemper has been almost unbeatable at home with a goals against average of 1.67 in home games and four of his five shutouts occurring at Crypto.com Arena.

Kuemper already has one Stanley Cup to his name when he played for the Colorado Avalanche and he knows how to win in the playoffs. He will be a big reason for the Kings success over the next few weeks.
