Robert Thomas (St. Louis Blues)

Reports around the trade deadline suggested that the St. Louis Blues placed an extremely high asking price on standout center Robert Thomas, making a deal difficult for interested teams.

A player with Thomas's age, production, and team-friendly contract would be one of the most valuable centers potentially available on the trade market this offseason.

Unlike some veteran trade targets, Thomas would give Los Angeles both immediate top-line production and long-term stability at center. At just 26 years old, he would fit alongside players like Quinton Byfield, Brandt Clarke, and the younger core while still helping the Kings remain competitive right away.

Thomas is one of the league's better playmaking centers and remains under team control on a team-friendly contract for multiple seasons.

He has developed into one of the NHL's better playmaking centers and could help maximize the offensive potential of players like Adrian Kempe and Artemi Panarin.

While I don't think it's too realistic that the Blues still make Thomas available on possible trade talks on the block this offseason, he was involved in various rumors and speculation around the trade deadline this past regular season.

The combination of Thomas's age, offensive production, and long-term contract value makes him one of the most attractive center targets the Kings could pursue this summer. He's scored at least 80 points in two of the last three seasons for the Blues.
