It looks like the LA Kings are going to have a new goaltending prospect in between the pipes for the AHL Ontario Reign next season.

Goaltending prospect Lukas Parik will begin his professional career in the LA Kings organization next season. It was announced today that Parik has signed a one-year contract with the Kings’ AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign.

Parik, 20, went 15-8-4 with an .867 save percentage and 3.35 GAA with the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL this past season. He performed better with the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL in the 2019-20 season, going 22-7-2 with a .917 save percentage and 2.73 GAA.

The 6-foot-3 netminder also played for the Czech Republic World Juniors team this past year, posting a shutout against Russia in the preliminary round.

He was drafted in the third round (87th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
