Zachary L’Heureux enjoyed a terrific rookie campaign in the QMJHL, playing with LA Kings draft pick Jordan Spence for the Moncton Wildcats. L’Heureux tallied 53 points in 50 games, the most among rookies in the league, and was named to the All-Rookie Team.

The Montreal, Quebec native was traded to Halifax in June of last year, and this past season was a little bit of everything. Suspended four times this season for unsportsmanlike conduct and fighting, L’Heureux has taken himself out of many games.

He was limited to 33 games. There’s no question about his on-ice production, as he racked up 39 points over that span. His most recent suspension came for standing up for his goalie after he was slashed.

The LA Kings will have to do their homework on Zachary L’Heureux. He has immense talent, but the disciplinary issues could be a red flag.
