LA Kings defenseman Matt Roy posted a health update to his Instagram account.
One of the more prominent storylines following the LA Kings 5-3 loss against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday was the health of their defensemen. Matt Roy was boarded by Wild forward Kevin Fiala in the second period, and Roy had to be helped off the ice.
The 25-year-old took to Instagram (via Twitter post) to provide a status update on his health.

For those that can’t view the entire message.
Thank you to everybody for the messages and well wishes. I am happy to say I am doing better than expected. For now I am resting up and looking forward to getting back with my team soon!
Both Walker and Roy flew home with the team on Thursday night, while fellow teammate Andreas Athanasiou remained in Minnesota under the NHL’s COVID protocol.
The Kings were off both Friday and Saturday, and it’s expected an update timeline for all injured and COVID-impacted players will be provided on Monday.

Hearing Matt Roy and Sean Walker are doing better. Kings are expecting to have an updated timeframe on Monday.
Obviously, if the Kings are in a situation where neither Roy or Walker are good to go for Tuesday’s contest against Anaheim, a couple of players in line for playing time include Mark Alt and Sean Durzi.
Tobias Bjornfot is also an option, as he played at RD during his time with Djurgården this summer.
