LA Kings assign 14 players to Ontario Reign

The LA Kings assigned14 players to the Ontario Reign as the team trends towards a 23-man roster for the 2021 regular season.

As teams around the league are finalizing their 23-man rosters counting toward the league’s $81.5M salary cap, the LA Kings sent 14 players to Ontario on Monday. Here is the list:

Brickley and Imama were placed on waivers on Sunday, going unclaimed. The 23-man roster does not include the 4-6 AHL players the LA Kings can carry throughout the season. My projected taxi squad players are in bold.

The LA Kings roster released at the start of training camp did not include Quinton Byfield, Arthur Kaliyev, Alex Turcotte, or Tobias Bjornfot, so a couple of additional roster decisions will be needed before the 5 PM deadline on Tuesday afternoon.
