LA Kings: Alex Turcotte’s pretty assist from Sunday’s exhibition (video)
LA Kings prospect Alex Turcotte had a beautiful assist in Eisbaren Berlins’ 1-0 win on Sunday.
Exhibition or not, the five members of the LA Kings prospect that are currently in training camp and playing preseason games with Eisbaren Berlin of the DEL are getting invaluable experience. Among the five include 2019 fifth overall pick Alex Turcotte.
Turcotte had a bad turnover that led to EHC Red Bull’s first goal of the game on Saturday, but he responded well on Sunday with a pretty assist seen below.
His vision, stickhandling, and speed are all on display in this particular sequence, finding the narrowest of slivers to dish the puck to Eric Mik for the goal. The Turcotte/Mik combination was the lone goal in Eisbaren’s 1-0 win on Sunday. He has primarily been playing alongside Chicago Blackhawks’ 17th overall pick Lukas Reichel.
Turcotte is expected to begin the year with Ontario, but there is a chance that if he plays exceptionally well that he could see the NHL.
He signed his three-year entry-level contract back in March.
