The Reign also added twin brothers in Nick and Jack Poehling. Both forwards played their collegiate hockey at St. Cloud State and were named alternate captains this past season. They also led the Huskies to back-to-back NCHC regular-season titles.
Nick scored 25 goals with 41 assists in four seasons, finishing second on the Huskies with 26 total points in 2019-2020. Jack accumulated 30 goals with 31 assists in his four years and finished fifth in total points last year.
The Poehling twins are related to younger brother Ryan Poehling, who was drafted 25th overall in 2017 by the Montreal Canadiens. All three will look to secure a role with the Reign in what figures to be a highly competitive bunch with several members of the Kings’ prospect pool expected to see regular playing time.
