Los Angeles Kings Set to Face Philadelphia Flyers on Eventful Weekend

The Los Angeles Kings will look to continue their recent stretch of success with another victory as they face the Philadelphia Flyers at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.
It’s certainly a great weekend for sports. Plenty of hockey, basketball, and of course… the Super Bowl. The Kings specifically have two opportunities to take care of business this weekend against some Eastern Conference foes.
Los Angeles is on a 4 game winning streak, which is currently the longest streak in the league. They’re in the second wildcard spot in the Western Conference as of now.
They play back-to-back games in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. this weekend, treating some hockey fans to afternoon matches.

Because of the time difference, it will feel like the morning for the Kings, which depending on perspective can either bring a freshness or an odd sense of displacement.
The Flyers are in the midst of their own playoff pursuits in an extremely competitive Eastern Conference.
Philadelphia is 26-20-6 with 58 points, and is holding onto the second wildcard spot in the East. There’s 4 different teams within 5 points of them, though, so any stumbles could really shake up the standings.
The Flyers have played impressively on home ice this season, going 16-7-3. This is the 2nd game of a 5 game home stand for them.
Philadelphia has won 4 of their last 5 games. They actually opened their season against the Kings back on October 14, beating Los Angeles 4-2.
Former Kings player Wayne Simmonds represented the Flyers at the All Star game, and took home MVP honors. He has 38 points in 52 games this year and leads the team with 21 goals.
Jakub Voracek leads the Flyers in points with 45 in 52 games. Claude Giroux is also having another solid season. The playmaker has 41 points in 52 games.
