Los Angeles Kings left wing Milan Lucic has been suspended one game by the NHL.
Los Angeles Kings’ Milan Lucic has been suspended for one game for delivering a punch to the head of an unsuspecting opponent as announced by the The National Hockey League on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred 6:55 into the third period of Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the Arizona Coyotes. Lucic took exception to a slash from Coyotes defenseman Kevin Connauton by delivering a slash of his own before delivering a punch to the side of Connauton’s head.

Kings head coach Darryl Sutter had nothing but good things to say about the hulking forward since he came over in a trade from the Boston Bruins last June.
“He’s a good, power player,” Sutter said on L.A. Kings Insider.
“I think he has a lot of respect in his peer group with the players, and it’s why he’s a really good player. It’s why he’s one of our best players. He walks in the room and commands attention because he cares about the game and he cares about the team. That’s all that matters. You want players like that.”
