LA Kings & Ping Pong
It is hard to believe that something as simple as playing ping pong with your friends is a way to give to charity.
But it is. And that is amazing.
On July 30, 2015 the Los Angeles Kings were represented at the third annual PingPong4Purpose fundraiser hosted by Ellen and Clayton Kershaw by Alec Martinez, Tyler Toffoli and Brayden McNabb.

According to LA Dodgers, the fundraiser was an evening of full of celebrities playing ping pong, blue carpet interviews, a high-end silent auction and then some more.
The list of athletes and celebrities who attended include Blake Griffin, Orel Hershiser, Josh Duhamel, Jimmy Kimmel, George Lopez, Mario Lopez and Eric Stonestreet.
However, ordinary folk like you and I were also there since a single ticket to get you into the stadium was a mere $1,250. But for $5,000, according to the LA Dodgers, you could have gotten five tickets at a 20% discount.
Costs aside, the fact that the LA Kings were represented at the Kershaw Challenge is pretty awesome. After all, the purpose of this fundraiser was to raise funds for communities that need it, according to the challenge’s official website.
Kershaw’s Challenge works to help children in America, Africa, and the Dominican Republic.
We can only hope Martinez, Toffoli and McNabb had some fun at Dodger Stadium while they got to play ping pong and chat it up with their fellow athletes and celebrities in attendance.
Here’s to raising money for a good cause and having some fun while doing it, LA!
Good job boys, keep representing our LA Kings!
