Los Angeles Kings Forward Jarret Stoll Arrested

Friday night was a big night in the NHL.  It was a big night in Sin City too.

On Friday, April 17th Los Angeles Kings forward Jarret Stoll was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada on drug related charges.

The story was reported by KLAS-TV Las Vegas, and was followed up by CBS.

Stoll was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine and Ecstasy at the Wet Republic pool complex that is a part of the MGM Grand Hotel.

Stoll was taken into custody by the Las Vegas Metro police and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.  Stoll’s bond has been set at $5,000.

The Kings have yet another player in the news for all the wrong reasons.  Earlier this season Slava Voynov was arrested and has since been charged on domestic violence charges.

Other than the first year he joined the Kings, this is the first time Stoll isn’t in the playoffs with the Kings.

The news couldn’t come at a worst time for Stoll who will be a free agent unless the Kings resign him before July 1st.

Stoll who turns 33-years-old on June 24th just finished his seventh straight season with the Kings.  Over 73 games this season Stoll registered 6 goals, 17 points, +3 plus/minus, 58 penalty minutes, 3 power-play goals and 2 game-winning goals.
