Jonathan Quick is at the top of the list. Quick has played phenomenal, stealing a few wins for the Kings, like the game against the St. Louis Blues where Quick saved 43 shots, and the team registered 18. In 6 starts Quick has a record of 4-1-1 with two shutouts. Quick has posted a .958 save percentage with 1.54 goals against average. Quick’s numbers have him ranked second in save percentage, and third in goal against average for all NHL goalies that have started more than 3 games.
Tyler Toffoli has been stellar to start off the season. Riding on his great play and momentum from the 2014 playoffs, Toffoli is tie for the lead in points amongst Kings players with 8. Toffoli and Carter are also tied for the team lead in plus/minus with 9. Toffoli leads the team with 5 assists and 1 short-handed goal.
Tanner Pearson is the other winger on the Kings second line, dubbed That 70’s Line, with Tyler Toffoli and Jeff Carter. That 70’s line is of to a hot start, building on the success they experienced in the 2014 playoffs. Toffoli leads the Kings with 5 goals, and is third on the team with 7 points and a plus/minus of 7.

Anze Kopitar is a leader for the Kings at both ends of the ice. Kopitar has 2 goals this season, and continues to play well against opponents top lines. This season will be another year that Kopitar puts his hat in the ring for the Selke Trophy. Kopitar has yet to win the award, but was a finalist in 2014. The Kings stingy defense relies on Kopitar’s shutdown ability, and when Marian Gaborik rejoins the lineup expect Kopitar and the Kings first line point production to go up.
Drew Doughty is the Kings best defensemen. Doughty has been playing a career high average of 27 minutes a game. He’s been a shut down defensemen contributing to the Kings great defensive play and Quick’s shutouts. Doughty is third on the Kings with 3 assists, and has a plus/minus rating of 4.
Jeff Carter is tied with Tyler Toffoli, leading in points and plus/minus for all Kings players. Carter leads the team with 18 shots and has been instrumental as the center of That 70’s Line. The veteran of the line, Carter has helped the two young wingers develop and grow, and at the same time helped them to rack up points.
