Fox played for the Kings for a decade: from the 1980-1981 season to the 1989-1990 season. Fox scored 186 goals and 479 points in 578 games for the Kings. That’s .828 points per game. In comparison, Vancouver Canucks star forward Daniel Sedin has a career total of 805 points in 979 games. That’s .822 points per game. Not too shabby eh?
Fox’s career was cut short because of a severe knee injury, so he doesn’t have the massive numbers, in points or games played, that Sedin does. In an age that breathes statistics, the players are comparable. In 10 seasons with the Kings Fox scored 30 goals three times: 30 in 1981-1982, 30 in 1983-1984, and 30 in 1984-1985. To keep the comparison going, in his 13 seasons with the Canucks Sedin has scored 30 goals four times: 36 in 2006-2007, 31 in 2008-2009, 41 in 2010-2011, and 30 in 2011-2012.

Fox Sports West will be continuing the “Kings Live” segment. Kings Live is a pre-game and post-game analysis that’s hosted by Patrick O’Neal, and features two other former Kings: Daryl Evans, and Sean O’Donnell. L.A. Kings Insider Jon Rosen will report updates and added analysis, while Alex Curry delivers interviews with the players.
Curry also hosts “Kings Weekly” an exclusive inside look at the Kings organization. It includes behind-the-scenes looks, player interviews, and discussions with team staff and management.
Radio:
After inking a deal this summer radio coverage of the Kings games will be on 790 KABC talk-radio. 790 KABC’s home is in Southern California. Games will have Nick Nickson as the play-by-play announcer and Daryl Evans as the color commentator. KABC will be streaming games live at www.kabc.com. Fans that reside outside of Southern California, that don’t want to pay for NHL Center Ice, can download the 790 KABC app, to listen to the Kings as they play throughout the season.
Skyveiw Networks is the provider of the Kings Satellite syndicated radio.
Through these broadcasts Kings fans will have the ability and a full array of choices to stay current on Kings coverage. And of course, RinkRoyalty will be covering all things Kings all season long!
