Los Angeles Kings Rookie Lineup for Training Camp

The L.A. Kings website has announced the rookie lineup for 2014-2015 training camp.

Training camp opens Friday, September 12th for practice.  Rookie training camp also includes two exhibition games where Kings prospects will face-off against prospects of the Arizona Coyotes.  The games are scheduled for Tuesday, September 16th at 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday, September 17th at 2:00 p.m.   The games will add a level of competition and allow the players to experience the quick turnaround schedule of back-to-back games like they would in the NHL.

31 players are signed up to participate in camp workouts and activities.  Included among them are defensemen Derek Forbort, goaltender Patrik Bartosak, and Russian winger Valentin Zykov.  Russian forward Nikolai Prokhorkin is not listed among those who will be attending camp, likely because of contract disputes with the Kings.  2014 first round pick Adrian Kempe is also not on the list of players attending.  Kempe will continue his development in Sweden’s SuperElit League, within the Swedish Hockey League, with MODO Hockey.
