There are not many instances in life where you get something set up on a tee for you and someone hands you a bat or a golf club and says, “Swing for the fences.”

The Sharks and this list is one of those opportunities.

I think if you were to throw hate and NHL together in a word association game you would get Raffi Torres as a response quite frequently.

Torres has called the Pacific Division home for three seasons now, playing for the Coyotes before coming to San Jose last season.

Torres has a history of on the edge play and suspensions, and the Kings got an unfortunate taste of this play during last season’s playoffs. Torres laid a high hit on Jarret Stoll, which gave Stoll a concussion and sidelined him for six games.

Torres has signed a new three-year contract with the Sharks so we have to deal with Torres for a while longer. Yay us!
