Andrew Ference, Edmonton Oilers

Ference was sort of pushed out of Boston by the Bruins’ wave of young talent, and he was pushed into Edmonton. Ference brings tons of experience to a young core in Edmonton, he has played 760 regular season games, 120 playoff games and has a Stanley Cup championship to his name.

Ference will fit in perfectly in the top four defenseman rotation in Edmonton. The Oilers have had the offense for some time now and needed the defense, with the addition of Ference and his average ice time of just under 20 minutes of play a night, the Avalanche are moving in the right direction.

The Oilers were absorbed into the new make shift Pacific Division, and will probably face the Kings quite often.
