Well… maybe I should have knocked on wood. After an impressive string of games that made any Kings fan happy and excited to see the next game, the Kings dropped two straight, one to Nashville, 3-1 and one to Chicago, 4-1. No good. Since the Nashville game wasn’t televised, I don’t have a lot to say, except that it was clearly not a good performance. Frankly, I’m not willing to give the Chicago game the credit necessary to go into detail about it either. Suffice it to say we did not play well in either, and the results reflected that fact. The Kings next play against Carolina on Wednesday, and we’re going to have to see better effort across the board if the Kings are to continue on their path to the playoffs.
On a brighter note, Luc was inducted to the Hall of Fame. Luc Robitaille is arguably one of the most popular Kings in history, and continues to be a major player in the franchise. The one thing that speaks more than anything else I can say, is that Robitaille is solely responsible for my girlfriends Kings fanaticism. Not a big sports fan, she endured as I brought her to game after game of the losing Kings over the past years. Through it all, the one consistent thing is her love of Luc, and therefore, her love of the Kings. So thanks Luc, for all the years of great play. There’s nobody better.
