Stud: Andrei Kuzmenko, W
In the game's second period yesterday, Kuzmenko scored the game's first power play goal on special teams on the 5-on-4 man advantage for the Kings' unit in the offensive zone vs. Chicago. Kuzmenko scored the season's third power play goal on special teams for the team.
"We’ve had him and others kind of all over the place, as you know, through the stretch that we really struggled so bad. That’s his spot and I think he was happy to get back down there. He made the great play to Kopi when he didn’t score earlier and we saw that last year too. So get the puck into his hands, give him the trust and the confidence to try and do his thing."Jim Hiller on Andrei Kuzmenko
It was a huge goal scored to double the Kings lead on the scoreboard yesterday and really establish the momentum on that side of the ice for the team and Kuzmenko for the forward lines in the offensive zone. Kuzmenko's power play goal on special teams was the Kings' first 5-on-4 man advantage goal for the team in the past week in the last four games in the West.

His goal was scored on a nice move with the puck he made in front of the net on his stick. The puck was initially bounced off of Knight in goal for the Blackhawks, but ended up carrying with momentum past the goal line and into the goal for Kuzmenko and the Kings team.
I don't think it was a good move for Hiller and the Kings to keep a 5-on-5 even-strength fourth-line forward group with Kuzmenko playing on offense. He scored the power play goal on special teams for the Kings after making a nice move in front of the net to get the puck past Knight in the goal in the crease.
