Stud: Corey Perry, W

The MVP of this fall, early in the regular season for the Kings should be Perry. Scoring 11 points in the season's first 10 games with LA this fall, Perry has exceeded all expectations going into this season that he had with the Kings in the West.

Perry not only leads the team in goals early this regular season, but he's also ranked in the top three on the Kings in Corsi for percentage and high-danger scoring chances and high-danger scoring chance percentage in the offensive zone.

Had it not been for Perry joining the rush in the offensive zone early in the game's third period, the Kings probably wouldn't have been able to tie the game up on the scoreboard. He buried a nice pass on the odd-man rush in the zone from Moore against goalie Sergey Murashov for the Pens.

"I don’t think anybody expected him to come in and play 14, 15 minutes a night and any of this stuff. It’s just really, really impressive and he makes it look easy. I don’t know how he does it, I just don’t. He’s got tremendous hockey sense and soft hands but he just makes the game somehow look pretty easy. He’s done it his whole career but doing it now, the way he’s doing it, it’s really nice. "
Jim Hiller on Corey Perry

Today's win vs. the Pens was the third time in the past six games that Perry has scored at least one goal and multiple points on the stat sheet for Hiller and the Kings in the past few weeks.

It's also noteworthy that no other 40-year-old player in the West in the history of the NHL has scored double-digit points in their first 10 games with a new team in the regular season in the league.
