Thanks to a sharp-angle goal from Anze Kopitar, the Kings responded quickly on the power play on special teams late in the first period vs. Pittsburgh. The Penguins grabbed the lead on the scoreboard back in the middle frame, on a power play goal.

Here are two studs and one dud from the Kings' 3-2 comeback win over the Penguins on the road in Pittsburgh on Nov. 9.
Stud: Kevin Fiala, W
I thought this was Fiala's best game early this regular season this fall for the Kings on the road. Fiala not only had his first multi-point contest of this regular season this fall for the Kings, but he also scored the clutch game-winning goal late in the third period today.

Fiala had some great moves today, putting Penguins' defenders on skates over and over again on the attack and in the offensive zone. The game-winning goal he scored in the final frame in the third period today was his 500th career point.
"He and I talked before the game, and we both knew that he would have to have a good game for us to win, so it’s great to see. When you deliver when you say ‘get me out there and I’ll deliver’ and you get out there and you deliver, I think he played over 23 minutes, it’s pretty easy to keep putting him back out there. What a game, what a game. Deliver, that’s the part I like."Jim Hiller on Kevin Fiala
The type of impact Fiala had on the game today was the reason why he led the team in goal scoring this past regular season in the 2024-25 campaign.
