Dud: Quinton Byfield, C
There isn't really a dud on this list for the Kings from this game yesterday vs. the Wild from Minnesota.
It showed a lot of perseverance for the Kings to kill off on special teams five out of six man advantage chances for the Wild against LA yesterday. The Kings were pretty good even strength at 5-on-5 yesterday against Minnesota on home ice. But the team outplayed the Wild at even strength in the offensive zone yesterday.
Quinton Byfield extended his points streak yesterday and had multiple chances in and around the goal for medium and high-danger scoring chances yesterday. He registered an assist in the game's final frame in the third period yesterday on the insurance goal against an empty net in clutch time from winger Adrian Kempe.
The one goal Byfield looked to have scored yesterday was called back because the refs ruled that he had a distinct kicking motion. I didn't think that was the case, but the Kings had a comfortable enough lead on the scoreboard to not need the goal from Byfield.
I was hoping to see Byfield build on his role and point-scoring on the stat sheet and on the ice for the Kings this regular season in the past couple of weeks.
