Dud: Drew Doughty, D

In another game in the East this week in the Metro Division on special teams, the Kings were excellent on special teams on the penalty kill at 5-on-4 in the zone this regular season. The Kings were a perfect 3-for-3 on special teams on the penalty kill against an Isles' power play on the 5-on-4 man advantage that has scored over 30 goals this regular season on the ice.

Defenseman Drew Doughty helped the Kings kill multiple penalties on special teams against the Isles in the zone defensively on the blue line vs. New York on the road in Long Island. Doughty and the Kings held up with a multiple goal lead on the ice and on the scoreboard until the Isles broke through with a tip-in goal from the blue line from the point from Matthew Schaefer in the middle frame in the second period today.

In this past game in the West early this week in the back end of back-to-back games on this road trip in the East for the Kings and Smith, Doughty came up clutch to help the team on the ice get an extra point in the standings in the Pacific Division in the final frame in the third period.

Doughty made some plays that didn't help the Kings on the ice and on the scoreboard in the final frame in the third period. I thought he could've waited to touch the puck on the delayed penalty call in the final seconds of the final frame in the third period.
