The biggest MVPs of this game on the ice for the Kings yesterday were easily the three forwards trio consisting of Panarin, Kempe, and Byfield in the zone offensively, scoring the puck. All three Kings' forwards registered at least one goal and multiple points in the middle frame in the second period and in the final frame in clutch time and in overtime yesterday.

Kempe was the Kings' best player scoring the puck offensively yesterday. He scored a couple of big goals to help the Kings get back in the game on the ice and on the scoreboard multiple times in the middle frame in the second period and in clutch time in the final frame in the third period.

Early in the middle frame in the second period yesterday, the Kings rode a big wave of momentum from a couple of goals in the game's first five minutes on the scoreboard in the second period. Kempe tied the game up on the scoreboard for the first time since early in the opening frame in the first period yesterday, scoring a nice goal assisted by Mikey Anderson on the blue line.

And then, in the extra frame in overtime, Kempe was a key part of the play that helped to set up the game-winning goal for the two points in the standings in the West this regular season from Byfield offensively.

"It’s hard to say, but just keep it simple. I’m playing with really good players and I’m just trying to get open and do my work out there and not try to think about it too much. It’s crucial games that we have to play, so obviously I’m happy that I can contribute and do my part."

In this past four games for the Kings in the West in the Pacific Division this regular season down the stretch, Kempe has scored a half-dozen goals, three assists, and nine total points on the stat sheet offensively for the team at an important time this spring and before the postseason upcoming.
