2 studs, 1 dud from LA Kings critical shootout win vs. Nashville

The LA Kings got a huge performance from Anton Forsberg to get two points in the standings in the West this regular season down the stretch against Nashville early this week on Monday night.

Forsberg was very clutch in net for the Kings and Smith this regular season yesterday in the win vs. the Predators in the crease on home ice. He showed up when the Kings needed him to in clutch time in the middle frame in the second period and the final frame yesterday. I think there's a good chance we see Forsberg in net for the Kings in this upcoming next couple of weeks at least three games for the team defensively.

It feels right saying that the Kings probably would not have won the game on the ice and on the scoreboard yesterday in extra frame in the shootout if not for Forsberg coming up clutch in the final frame in the third period yesterday.

I think Forsberg has made it clear that he deserves to be the starting goalie trust down the stretch this regular season in the West in the Pacific Division for the Kings and Smith and the coaching staff.

"Just to get the chance to play in this kind of game, it’s so much fun. had fun every minute out there. It was an important game tonight, but the next one is important too, the last one was too. So, it doesn’t really matter, we’ve just got to stick with it, play our game and move on. We’ve got a game in two or three days and we’ve got to get right back at it."
Anton Forsberg

In the middle frame in the second period yesterday defensively, Forsberg made a couple of huge saves to keep the Kings in the game on the ice and on the scoreboard on home ice vs. the Preds in the West. Forsberg got help from the defense in the zone yesterday in the final frame in the third period in clutch time.

Forsberg made 29 saves on 31 shots on goal and stopped double-digit medium and high-danger scoring chances for the Kings yesterday (per Natural Stat Trick) to show he deserves to be the starting goalie down the stretch this upcoming next couple of weeks in the West.
