Darcy Kuemper continues his incredible play

Since returning from injured reserve a few weeks ago, Darcy Kuemper has been playing exceptional hockey. In his first three games back, he allowed only one goal in each game against the Minnesota Wild, New York islanders, and New York Rangers.

The past two games have been a different story as he has allowed six total goals however that is not a reflection of his performance. In fact, Kuemper is a big reason the Kings have been able to come away with three points over the past two games as he faced a lot of high-risk shots, like this one on a breakaway by Bobby Brink that he stonewalls.

Kuemper would finish the game with 23 saves on 26 shots and in his first five games back from the injured reserve improved to 4-0-1. If he can stay healthy, which has been an issue early this season, Kuemper will absolutely be enough for the Kings in net to make a deep playoff run.
