Hope everyone had a happy, safe and sugar-infused Halloween. The Kings meanwhile, are in Phoenix, gearing up for their first game after having the last two days off. The Kings haven’t lost in regulation for the last six games, and they’ll look to extend that streak (hopefully with a win) tonight against the Coyotes. After an Opening Night loss against the Coyotes at Staples Center, the Kings successfully avenged themselves with a win only a few weeks ago in Phoenix. With even a touch of luck, the Kings should be able to extend their point streak with a win tonight.
Jonathan Quick will start in goal tonight, although word is that Ersberg is going to get at least one shot during the upcoming five game road trip which lasts for the bulk of November. It’s worth pointing out that the Kings are in good position in the league, at a solid #5 (actually tied with Phoneix for #4), and after their five-game road trip, they will have played only 8 games at home, and 14 on the road. It’s a tough road to hoe, but they’ll be in good shape come spring, if they can make it through this rough fall in one piece. And it must be said, so far, so good.
In all, the Kings are in good shape. It’s looking like there’s a real chance that they may make the playoffs for the first time in WAY too long. I’ll be watching the game tonight, what are you hoping to see?
