Up tonight is the Kings v. Stars REMATCH!
After rolling to a 4-1 victory over division rival Dallas Stars on Monday, the Los Angeles Kings are ready to bring their game back to the Staples Center with the first game at home after a six-game road trip. Are the Kings going to be able to replicate their overall quality that they showed in Dallas only a few days ago? Or will the Kings suffer from a let-down at the end of their arduous road-trip? My guess is that they’ll be able to hang on for another win, even against the revenge inspired Dallas Stars tonight.
Something to keep in mind. Justin Williams, a centerpiece (technically wing-piece?) of the thus far highly successful first-line, is looking unlikely to play tonight. According to Rich Hammond, Justin Williams injured himself during a skate this morning, and although the injury is not going to be a long-term issue, it does appear to be keeping him out of the lineup for this game. Who is going to fill in for him? It’s hard to say, although I am somewhat hoping to see Alex Frolov given a chance to make something happen on that line. It’s a right-wing opening, but Frolov played well in that role last year, and given a chance might be able to jump start his scoring for the season.
Anyone have any predictions for the game? Check back early tomorrow for a recap/perspective on the Kings!
