Draft to Los Angeles

Good news for Kings fans! Or at least, Los Angeles based Kings fans. According to Rich Hammond, of LA Kings Insider, the NHL is going to award the NHL Draft this coming summer to the Los Angeles area. Of course there are still details to be worked out, including where specifically the event will be held. Choices include Staples Center, or the newly completed Nokia Theater. The draft is scheduled for June 25-26, and is going to be one of the biggest NHL-based events to be held in Los Angeles since the All-Star game (and until the Kings make it to the Stanley Cup Finals!)
