The hockey world suffered a great loss yesterday. It was announced that Shawn Burr had died after falling in his home on Monday. Burr was a part of the Detroit Red Wings from 1983 through 1995. Burr was diagnosed with leukemia in 2010 and devoted much of his time after that to raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
