This was a big night for Doughty, returning home to Ontario in Canada to beat the team he watched and rooted for growing up playing hockey north of the border. Doughty was one of multiple Kings players tonight, among Ontario natives who registered at least one point in the win over Toronto.

The only player for the Kings who made this list for the studs who didn't score a goal for Hiller and Co. tonight was Doughty on the blue line. Doughty helped the Kings continue this tremendous road performances for the team early this regular season.

One play that was huge in this game for the Kings in the win over the Maple Leafs in clutch time in the third period was the blocked shot he had diving back near the crease to stop what looked like a sure goal for Toronto.

He knew after the game how well the Kings played tonight against the Maple Leafs, saying that LA "dominated the game" on the ice in Toronto this evening.

Doughty has registered at least one point in four of the Kings' wins on the road in the past few weeks early this regular season. He registered assists on the game-winning goal for Byfield in overtime tonight against the Maple Leafs, and on the game's first goal in the second period to set the tone for the Kings by Foegele.

Two other defensemen who were really good on the blue line for the Kings in this win over the Maple Leafs this evening in Toronto were Mikey Anderson and Brandt Clarke. Anderson and Clarke combined for nearly four-dozen shifts and two points with two assists tonight.

It's noteworthy that Clarke and Brian Dumoulin were second and third in ice time minutes among defensemen for the Kings tonight behind Doughty.
