2 studs, 1 dud from LA Kings' convincing win vs. Montreal

The LA Kings and Jim Hiller have won two straight games and four straight on the road after knocking off Montreal by multiple goals tonight.

Dud: Trevor Moore, W

Trevor Moore had some really nice chances tonight to put the puck in the net and help the Kings get the lead on the scoreboard against the Habs. Moore has a seven-game goalless streak for the Kings this fall.

After Moore scored a point on an assist for the Kings on the game-tying goal by Corey Perry in LA's comeback 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins this past weekend on Sunday (Nov. 9), I was hoping that he could continue building on that momentum on the stat sheet tonight vs. Montreal on the road.

Moore tied with Byfield as the only two Kings' players in this game tonight in the win over Montreal on the road that had at least three high-danger scoring chances vs. the Habs in the offensive zone (per Natural Stat Trick).

The Kings got plenty of offense tonight when it mattered to set the tone on the scoreboard in the game's first and third periods. Hiller and staff for the Kings got contributions from the forward group on multiple top lines and from the blue-line top-six, including multiple points from Edmundson and Byfield on the stat sheet.

Moore only has points in two games that the Kings have won early this regular season. His goal came on a clutch shorthanded play in the Kings' comeback win in early October this fall against the Vegas Golden Knights on the road in a shootout.
