The Los Angeles Kings will try to snap a two-game losing streak tonight when they visit the Calgary Flames for the final meeting of the season between the two teams.
The Kings are in the middle of a four-game road trip that has seen them drop the opening two games two the San Jose Sharks and Vancouver Canucks. The final game of the trip will be tomorrow night against the Edmonton Oilers.
The Flames’ season has been anything but what fans and management wanted. But they have turned things around in the late stages of the seasons and are not rolling over for anyone. Calgary has strung together some wins and will try to extend their current win streak to four games with a win over the Kings tonight.
That task might be a little easier for the Flames since it looks as if the Kings will be without Dwight King and Drew Doughty again tonight.
If the Kings want to beat the Flames tonight they will have to get the advantage over a familiar face. Former King Mike Cammalleri has had the Kings’ number this season and has three goals and four points in the four games against the Kings this season.
The Kings need to right the ship as soon as possible if they want to gain any steam heading into the playoffs and with only three games remaining they’re running out of time.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. local time.
