Game 48 Preview: Kings vs. Blues

Preview:

After a few days rest the Los Angeles Kings will be back in action tonight. They open a four-game road trip tonight with a stop in St. Louis to take on the Blues. The Blues will be in the middle of a three-game home stand that ends later this week against the Anaheim Ducks.

St. Louis opened their current home stand against the Phoenix Coyotes two nights ago and beat Phoenix in a low scoring 2-1 victory. The Blues will try to continue their recent success at home where they have gone 10-1-1 over their last 12 games.

The Kings will come into St. Louis on the heels of a 1-0 shutout victory over their Pacific Divisional rival, the Vancouver Canucks. The Kings have gone 3-1-1 in their past five games but did not fare as well in their last visit to St. Louis.  when they were on the wrong side of 5-0 game.

Since returning from a groin injury Jonathan Quick has started five games in a row and has posted a 1.39 goals against average. Jaroslav Halak will man the crease for the Blues tonight. Halak comes into tonight’s game with a 2.27 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.

The game is set to get underway at 5 p.m. local time.
