Another game, same story. The Kings faced the Detroit Red Wings last night and despite controlling much of the game they ended the night on the wrong side of a 3-1 score. The Kings outshot Detroit 46-29 and dictated the tempo for prolonged periods of the game but fell behind mid way through the third period and never recovered. You have to think something needs to change, and it needs to happen soon.
Luckily for the Kings three of the four other Pacific Division teams in action last night lost as well. But on the flip side the only team to pull out the win last night was the Anaheim Ducks, creating a bigger gap between the Ducks and Kings in the standings.
