The Kings are on the last day of their three-day break and will face off against the New York Islanders tomorrow at Staples Center. Although the Kings have not had a game in the last several days there has been a bit of news coming out of the Kings practices. During the Kings’ practice this week Matt Greene and Trevor Lewis were progressing towards their return to the Kings’ line up. Any sign that the Kings are moving closer to a healthy roster is a good sign.

In other news Boston Bruins defenceman Johnny Boychuk was taken off of the ice in the Bruins 1-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens. The injury was sustained when Boychuk was hit behind the Canadiens’ net by Max Pacioretty. Boychuk did return to the arena and returned to Boston with the team, but will undergo further testing back in Boston.
