Overall Record: 1305- 998-462-83

Stanley Cup Titles: 1 (’99)

Playoff Appearances: 58

Playoffs Record: 199-120

Playoff Series Record: 28-30

Let’s start off with mentioning the numbers for the Stars slightly inflated because of the merger between the California Seals and Minnesota North Stars, before the team moved to Dallas. The Seals were only around for nine seasons and account for 698 of the total games played, so it isn’t that big of a factor.

It did take some time for the organization to make its way to Dallas, 26 years to be exact, but the organization and fans only had to wait six years for their first Stanley Cup victory once in Dallas. Of the Stars 58 playoff appearances, 12 of them have come while the team has been in Dallas and 44 of the remaining 46 appearances came while the team was the North Stars.

The Stars have fallen of late and have not qualified for the post season in the last five seasons. They are currently a middle of the pack team in both the Western Conference and Central Division, playing in the ultra competitive Western Conference will do that to you I guess.
