Martin St. Louis’ 1,000th game was ruined by the Kings last night. The Kings stormed out of the gate scoring four unanswered goals and ultimately won the game by a scored of 5-2. Ben Scrivens finally allowed a goal after over 190 minutes of scoreless play. The Kings’ next game will be against the New Jersey Devils tomorrow night at Staples Center.
Some disheartening news came from Kings General Manager Dean Lombardi this morning. He announced that Kings starting goalie Jonathan Quick will be out for at a least another month of play. Now it looks like Scrivens will have to do a little more work than put together a couple wins while Quick recovers. Hopefully him and back up, Martin Jones are ready for the long haul.
