Anze Kopitar Raises $20,000 For Breast Cancer Research

Kings forward Anze Kopitar dropped in on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in order to help raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Fund today.

The Show has been raising money for the fund for the entire month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and today was Kopitar’s turn to stop by and help raise some cash.

A net that had the posts lined with ten glass plates was brought out for Kopi to shoot on. Kopitar then shot on the net and each plate broken during a minute time period would equal $1,000 donated to the fund.

Kopitar broke all ten of the plates with about 30 seconds to spare grabbing $10,000 in donations. He also announced that the Los Angeles Kings would match the donations acquired through the shooting challenge, rounding out to a grand total of $20,000 in donations towards the cause.

Hopefully Kopi can transfer over some of this success by shooting the puck into tomorrow night;s game against the Phoenix Coyotes.

Below is the video of the entire segment.
