Tonight is the night! The Kings take to the ice for the first time in months and start their quest to regain the title of Stanley Cup Champions. They will take on the Minnesota Wild in Minnesota and puck drop is set for 5:00 PST. How great will it be to see Dustin Brown throwing his body around, Jonathan Quick making post-to-post save and Jeff Carter sniping goalies again?
Outside of the Kings, the ’13-’14 season has been under way for two days now and on just the second day we already had a major meltdown on a team’s bench. Last night, Colorado Avalanche coach, Patrick Roy, in just his first game lost his cool and took it out on the plane of glass separating him from the Ducks bench. Watch for some supplemental discipline coming here, the dude basically ripped the glass off the boards.
