How good did that feel? Meaningful hockey returned last night and it did not disappoint. The marquee event came from Chicago where the Blackhawks faced off against the Washington Capitals. The game opened with the Blackhawks’ raising their 2013 Stanley Cup Championship banner. It was a very well-organized and good-looking ceremony. The Blackhawks continued the celebrations as they went on to beat the Capitals 6-4.
On a side note, former King George Parros was hospitalized last night after he fell to the ice at the end of a fight. Parros’ face hit the ice and he was taken off the ice on a stretcher. Parros was released from the hospital this morning and I wish him a speedy and full recovery.
- Parros was released from the hospital and is out indefinitely with a concussion. (Twitter)
- People are vandalizing Wayne Gretzky statues, that’s just not right. (ESPN)
