Welcome to August everybody. The 2013-2014 NHL season is slowly creeping towards us. We can make it, I swear we can.

The Florida Panthers and their fans must be happy. They finally found their savior, the player that will lead them back to the playoffs and will get Florida on the map as one of the NHL’s elite. No that player is not Jonathan Huberdeau, it’s Scott Gomez!

Okay maybe that was a little sarcastic. But Gomez is headed to Florida, the Panthers and Gomez agreed to a one-year contract yesterday.
